Well...after graduating from Harvard Law school, he led a very successful voter registration drive in Chicago. He worked at a prestigious civil rights law firm, then taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School. He has served in the Illinois state legislature, and as a US Senator. As a senator, he serves on two of the most important (and prestigious) committees: Foreign Relations and Homeland Security. He has also either sponsored or co-sponsored almost 600 different bills.
Contrast that to Hillary Clinton, whose only non-governmental employment resulted in a scandal...and whose Senatorial career has been rather undistinguished, as she has tried her best to move away from her previous liberal positions and set herself up as a "middle of the road" candidate.
I disagree with a lot of Obama's positions, and I probably won't vote for him. But if he's elected, I will support him as my president. For one thing, if someone disagrees with him on a particular issue...he doesn't insist that they're either stupid, a liar, or evil...nor does he claim that they're part of some "vast conspiracy".
And that is rare for a current politician, whether Democrat or Republican.

Plain waste of time. No way is he ever even capable of winning. In the race for President its ELECTORIAL votes that count. And winner takes all per state. The south surely will not even give him a single electorial vote and most northern states either and that includes Illinois his home state. The whites are majority and they will not vote in black. This catering to blacks in the south is hurting him in the potential white vote.
With that kind of qualification as a defenite loser, dont think for a single minute the Democratic party will ever run him for president.
A reasonable democrat.

He is black, lacking the experience, maturity and a few other things...
But in spite of not being best qualified for the job, he is qualified for the presidency for being black.
Haven't you figured this one out yet in the real world?

they are definetely going to must have more suitable secret service element for him. what's troubling is that a lengthy time period again there have been comments that got here out that revealed truly some racism interior the secret service. no longer astounding thinking it truly is specially produced from white adult males, yet kinda makes me ask your self only how confusing they are going to keen to guard a Black candidate. i understand to maximum it likely gained't make a distinction yet all it is going to take is a few who resent him to create some variety of chance for someone to take a shot at him.

Hey, he's NOT a mass-murdering, torturing, theiving, lying, traitorous, brain-dead, ignorant, heartless, utterly corrupt loon.
Vast improvement, in my view. (Though I think he's being silly -- if you want the VEEP job so you can make a real run later, fine; but must you pretend? I'd like him to have more experience under his belt; but then, at least he hasn't spent his working life ruining everything he's touched.)

Hes' a citizen over 35. He has ambition. He has(or will have)enough money to run a campaign.
He does not have enough experience yet, in my opinion.
