How the hell can a person be half-Muslim? Islam is a religion, not an ethnicity. Either you follow it or you don't.

I don't care what Obama's religious affiliation is. However, I'm just calling a few people on their false claims about Obama's religion.

I haven't heard anyone call him an atheist, that's a new one on me. I guess if calling him a Muslim doesn't stick, and it doesn't to anyone with working brain cells and an ability to do research, they resort to the next inflammatory word on the list. Sometimes I wonder how some of these people have the intelligence to even sign on to a computer, much less operate one.

And if he would in fact be an atheist why would that be wrong? I though freedom of religion also meant freedom from religion, if that's ones choice. It is a private matter and people shouldn't be voting for or against a candidate because they agree or disagree with their religious believes.

Sadly, for the same reasons that liberals are labelled Satanists. Its more of the 'with us or against us' mentality. So if you are pro-choice, you are a baby murderer - and you can't possibly believe in God. Apparently, the Republicans have the market cornered on God...and the rest of us are just heathens...

I've never heard of half Muslim before. How is that possible? Sounds like half pregnant.

He joined that church out of political expediency. He was raised by an athiest mother and a Muslim father. He had no formal religious affilitation until he decided to get into politics.

The real question is why does anyone care what he is? (or any politician for that matter!)

Whatever happened to separation of church an state?

Cons are so desperate that they call the United Church of Christ a cult.

YOu can always guage how much cons are threatened by someone by their level of hate and rage.

I've never heard anyone say he was an atheist!

Yahoo posters don't count. God knows what some people put up here! :)

religion or lack thereof should mean nothing in politics...however, obama would never get my vote since he voted for and advocates partial birth abortion
