Some are real and some are not. Band sites are usually real, but maintained by someone in management and not the band members themselves. With individuals, like actors and models, it can be hard to tell if you don't know them personally. A lot of the management companies will put up the sites without the person even knowing it's there. That happened to my cousin, a former Ms. Hawaiian Tropic World. They put her on there, and it says stuff like "single, I don't want kids", etc. Truth is, she has been with the same guy since high school, and they have twin sons - but that's not very sexy, is it? LOL.

I think most of them are real but it is hard to know since people are posing to be celebrities. I have Cassie on mine.

Only go to the one that they have on their web page, CD, or if they say it out of their mouths on TV. If you just look their name up on my space, you will get tons of phonies. Also, look at their friends.

Some they do check it, and reply when they can. And some I assume their assistant's handle their page. I know Trey Songz does his own.

Some of them keep them up on their own, but I think most people have their "people" do it for them. I am pretty sure Jason Mraz keeps up his own because he blogs on there...but you never know!
