Wiretap is listening in to phone conversations. I don't think the NSA is listening to everybody. It is physically impossible. They do target suspects though. That is what the program was about before the newsmedia and liberals twisted it to make it sound like we were all being listened to. If they want to listen to me, big deal! I have nothing to hide and they will be awfully bored.....

With an already connected network of phone wires and data there is no need to place a physical tap in the network to perform a wiretap when you already control some of the switches.
The NSA is indeed wiretapping America as evidence obtained via an NSA Wiretap authorized under the PATRIOT Act was used in trial against the SHAC 7 last year.

A wiretap is a device that the feds put on your phone so they can listen to all of your phone conversations. The items get recorded for future reference. No, I do not believe NSA is wiretapping everyone in America. If so, they are not getting their money's worth from the wiretaps on my house.

Yes. I know what a wiretap is.
It's definition is somewhat expanded since its inception many decades ago to include modern technology along with the laws governing wiretaps.
If someone wants to listen to me order a pizza on the phone, I could care less.

A wiretap is a spy device for listening to conversations. Of course the NSA is wiretapping America because Bush thinks he is a smarter Nixon.

A wiretap allows a third party to listen in to/record both sides of a phone conversation. I believe the temptation is too great for those with access NOT to listen in.

Yes, I am aware of what a wire tap is. No, I don't think NSA is wire tapping America.
I don't know what story you speak of. I'm getting tired of the paranoiac questions as well. You think they care that I call my girlfriend to ***** about my boss? I don't think so.

It's when you tap on a wire to see if the amplifier is working. Only if you are talking to suspicious people in other countries.
