For a long time I didn't talk to my dad (I was angry and he was angry, when we finally did talk we realised how foolish we had been) I never let much time go by without talking to my family even if they get on my nerves! They may be taken from me tomorrow and I want them to know that I loved them

Yes. My sister decided to tell me off last summer. She was totally out of line. Then she offered a fake apology in an email. Her husband tried to have sex with me when I was in 8th grade. I am now 35, and according to her, I am not entitled to have any feelings about it. She sent a birthday card. It took me about a month to open it. I don't know if we will ever speak again. She is a totally different person to me now.

I dont talk to ANY of my immediate family members .
I dont mind saying why .
Its bcuz they all SUCK !
I didnt choose to have them as my family and they tried to brainwash me into believing that " family comes first" and " you have to love your family "
Well guess what ?
I dont love them . I dont want to be a part of that family.
I believe that this is MY life and I say what friends and FAMILY I will keep. NOT the other way around .

My older sister. She's 60 now and she was abusive to me all my life. (Though we had good times mixed in between.) Well, last summer I was vacationing at her camper, and I asked her a question. She snapped back at me viciously. There were a couple of more times when she pulled that crap on me and one day, about in August, I decided that I didn't deserve that abuse, and I just stopped talking to her. I know I'm better off.

Oldest sister, she has issues with everyone and everything, and a younger brother. His wife is the world's biggest drama queen and stirrer. Everyone is expected to follow her dim ideas. Glad she's out of my life, and if my brother is dumb enough to stay with her, that's his problem. She's turned him against everyone of his family because we don't agree with her. I still have one brilliant sister and 3 brothers...EDIT..Who is the idiot who's giving most of us the thumbs down? Well, I'm quarreling with my sister right now. Haven't spoken in a couple weeks. I'm trying to avoid my mother, but still will answer her calls once in a while.....
I guess I'm not willing to let family go for a long period of time. My mom is scary, but I still can't completely let go. You know?

My older brother..He stopped talking to the family after our mom died.Don't know why.
