I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm just not into all that. What percentage of people in this age range do you think are like me? Where are these people (especially the females). Are you like me? or a party animal?

Thanks

I am 18 and I don't party or drink. I have drank once but that was only because I was curious. I didn't think I was cool or sexy or anything. I actually didn't care. But, drinking is not even that great. The drinks don't even taste good.

I never smoked. I hate it when kids at school talk about the drugs they took. That's not cool, it's degrading.

I don't party, and I feel I am not into that. I was thinking the same thing not that long ago, and how I hate to party. Partying seems so boring and it's not that great. I am not into it.

I have noticed that a lot of people drink and party in that age cateogory myself and I kinda feel weird and like a minority. I am still even a virgin, and I see no reason why young people ( preferably under 18 ) would want to have sex anyway.

I am like you, to answer your question, and I am not ugly. Or fat. I am actually quite pretty and I like how I look. That's to disprove that hot girls party.

Difficult question. Some people just don't drink or party, for any number of reasons. I'm in my mid 20s, and I don't do that anymore because I have a regular job and need to pay the bills and begin saving for a future. I still go out for the night a few times a month, but not as frequently as I used to.

But that's not to say that I wouldn't if I could afford it. I'd still love to go out and have a great time and party, but that would mean sacrificing more of my paycheck and more of my future. It's just not worth it at this point, and I've acquired other priorities. When I was younger, I had more of a future left, so I didn't worry about it. I knew I had a few years before I would want to start growing up and acting more responsibly, so I used my time as I wanted.

However, I have to admit that anyone that DOESN'T like to party (as in, would refuse an invitation) is probably not going to be that well thought of in my book. It would be hard for me to conclude that the person is very interesting or enjoys the company of other people in a casual setting. I would think that you're too serious, and would not likely be one to invite you to too many more outings if I kept getting turned down, which wouldn't leave a lot of chances for us to get to know each other or become friends.

Not to say that you'll become a social hermit, just that you and I probably wouldn't have much in common or hang out a lot.

I was never interested in it in High School, then I went to college and tried to fit in.....yeah, I made a big mistake there. After that first year, I did some other things, came back to college for a bit, then left after deciding that college wasn't for me (I was learning more by reading and using my critical thinking skills). Aside from that one year at 18-19, I haven't been much of a "party animal". I'm now 25, and married with a 2 year old, so we obviously don't do any partying anymore.

The thing I could tell you is that there ARE other women (and men) out there like me, but it's harder to find us. And some of us tend to be kinda....."geeky", if you will (hey, I admit I'm a geek! hehe), and so you won't find us all bleach-blonde and in the latest fashions. Try looking online for groups that have some of the same interests as you do, or seeing if your town has a website that lists groups or YMCA activities. Look at religious groups (or non-religious, depending on preference), or check out museums that have your interest for groups. (i.e. a planetarium might have a group that meets to learn and look, or you could join the board of donors for a zoo)

I'm way beyond that age range, but when I was there I was not interested in partying or drinking - I had already been through that stage when I was younger than that! And had overdone it. By the time I was 18 I was already into more serious issues, I had a purpose for my life and was taken up in that.
