im not sure how to get them done. white dress, little pink in it. i have kinda short nails but want them long. what color should i do? would a french manicure look weird with a white dress? thanks

No a french manicure is probably the best solution, you might want to get a shade of pink on the tips instead of white in order to bring out the pink on your dress. If your nails are kind of rough you should get a few manicures before prom so that your nails look healthy.

if you have trouble growing your own nails then I'd suggest a set of acrylic nails (they soak off with acetone easily if you only want them for prom) done in the french manicure style with the pink powder and white tips, a perfect match for your dress.

Keep it simple, go with the regular white tipped french. This way you will be the focus not your nails! I had short nails too and the french makes you look really polished and feel so elegant. You sound like you have a lovely dress, so don't overplay your nails. You will feel so beautiful with them and won't be overwhelmed by garish nails!! Have Fun!!

you should paint them allpink with little white dots on themor vice versa...that would look TOTALLY awesome!!!
