I have quite a few guns, not sure, 40-50. I am a Republican I guess, I always vote for the more conservative canidate, which is always the Republican, even though a lot of them are not very conservative nowadays, which I think is why they have been losing.

I am offended by any kind of gun control. Guns constitute my favorite hobby, as well as my job (a gun dealer). Why does somebody want to restrict what kind of gun I can own or make me jump through hoops to get them. What really upsets me are people that say, "I hunt, but I don't see why people should own a handgun." Oh, so we can own whatever gun YOU like, but now what I want. That's real considerate and fair...

I don't do a lot of hunting, I went to Africa a couple years ago, and haven't really hunted much since. I shoot a lot competatively. I enjoy it more, I'm lazy and don't like to get up early and walk around and chase things around and then try to cut them up. I just like to shoot.

HR Bill 1022, take a look at it, and don't be fooled by the title. You might think "Assult Rifle" means some sorta crazy lookin gun you don't "think people need," but take a look at what guns it really means. There's a lot of peoples' favorite hunting shotguns and kids' .22's on there. Don't let them pass another law. If you can write to anyone or talk to anyone, please do it, it will only end in trouble for a lot of people.

1. I own guns and use them. Handguns and small caliber rifles.
2. I am neither a Democrat or Republican. I am an Independent.
3. I believe in a moderate form of gun control for automatic and heavy weapons. There are weapons that are only intended for offensive use. I believe defensive use is protected by the Constitution.
4. I believe in the restriction of gun possession for convicted criminals and mental patients. They have proven they are not responsible enough for the ownership.
5. I believe more people killed each other in medieval times with the weapons that you desire. If you are mentally imbalanced you can kill with many items. Should we restrict all of those too?

Independant, right leaning.

I do not believe in gun control. Without going on the party lines regarding gun control...the premise is just silly. To think that controling guns will control crime is asinine. I can rob a liquor store with a baseball bat, a rock on a string or a steak knife just as effectively as I can with a gun. To think that gun control will reduce the amount of deaths in this country is equally asinine. Again, people are run-over, beat to death, even mutilated everyday somewhere in this country. With that said, what is the point of controling just 1 type of weapon?

I own 1 rifle (I purchased), 2 hand guns and a shotgun (passed on from my grandfather)

Republican.

I own thousand of guns. Literally. I have them in cases. I have them in closets. I have them in secret safes hidden in the walls.

In my defense I am not some wacko awaiting Armageddon, I have an Federal Firearms License and own a gun dealership.

Why? We actually have a much lower crime rate than the countries without guns. Our guns are the reason we have never fought a land war on our own soil. And personally if I had to be murdered, I would rather be shot. In countries where there aren't guns people are beaten, burned, and at best stabbed to death. I'd much rather take a quick shot to the head than have someone cut me open. Or have crazy you hack me to death with your axe.

I own all kinds of guns. Im not a Dem or a Rep. I don't believe in gun control because the only people it effects are the law abiding citizens, the crook that is gonna rob your house isnt going to pay any attention to the gun laws.

My husband, the Democratic union man and hunter extraordinaire, owns quite a few guns. I have a permit to carry myself. I'm a socially liberal moderate who owns a gun and believes in the right to own one and use it if I am attacked or assaulted. I believe that if someone can't handle a waiting period to buy a gun, they probably shouldn't own one. And I do have some trouble imagining my husband needing an AK47 to go hunting. But the basic belief in the right to bear arms is alive and well in my household.

Yes I own many guns. I don't believe in gun control, historically gun control was the first thing Dictators used against those they take over so retalliation would be impossible. Also, I should have the right to protect myself from a violant individual or group of individual. The war on guns will work as well as the war on drugs, the war on poverty, and the war on terror. My first gun was a Ruger P97. I still love that gun.

No gun. Registered Republican. Libertarian leanings. I don't believe in gun control, it is another of those things that sound good on paper but don't work in reality.

Oh, and if you are getting one for home protection, get a shotgun, not a pistol. The burgler is probably a better shot than you, but aiming is not all that important with a shotgun in a hallway.

I don't own a weapon but that is by choice. But I don't necessarily believe in gun control either. I consider myself an independent and vote for the individual and not along one parties line.

6 handguns - 1 for plinking, 2 for hunting, 3 for personal protection (one is my wife's carry gun, one is my main carry gun, the other is my back-up gun).

4 shotguns - 2 for hunting, 2 for home defense (on is my wifes the other is mine).

10 rifles - 1 kid sized target .22 for the kids to learn on, 1 .22 plinker for fun, 2 AR-15's with various uppers in several calibres and barrell lengths for different jobs, 1 FN-FAL (in full auto), 1 AK47, 1 CETME, 1 Remington 700 in .308 to reach out and touch whatever needs it and 1 .50 Barrett for whatever might be out farther and need touching ;)

Not Dem or Repub, just a Leave-Me-Alone Conservative.
