capitalism is a great thing. it allows people to strive, to advance, to improve their living situation, etc. but what about little chinese kids in sweatshops who pay for it? what about career workers who get laid off? and i know there's no such thing as a perfect system, but does anyone have any decent ideas?

Capitalism is an economic system...it is not designed to be measured in terms of morality. It must follow the laws, but does not need to be fair or moral. In fact, the most capitalistic countries are often seen as cruel and unjust...as there are great chasms between rich and poor.
