Someone just dropped Chris Burke, 2b and OF. Right now, my backup OFer is Austin Kearns. I happen to expect a fairly big year from Burke, so I'm thinking of dropping Kearns for him. Standard 5x5 roto scoring, 12 teams. Here's my squad:

C- Jojima
1b- Teixeira
2b- Utely
SS- Glaus (3b)
3b- Atkins
OF- Dunn
OF- Baldelli
OF- Swisher (1b)
UT- Morneau
BN- F. Sanchez (2b/ss/3b)
BN- Kearns (of)

SP- Smoltz
SP- Haren
RP- Hoffman
RP- Benitez
P- S. Torres (RP)
P- K. Rogers
P- Glavine
BN- An. Sanchez (SP)
BN- Igawa (SP)
BN- Colon (SP)

Thanks.

Absolutely. Chris Burke is one of the most talked about guys right now in baseball along with Stephen Drew, Alex Gordon, Edwin Encarnacion, B.J. Upton, guys like that. Burke will hit for a way better average than Kearns. I can't promise you stolen bases out of Burke but he surely will have more than Kearns! Burke will most likely hit at the top of the Astros lineup with a lot of protection behind him like Lance Berkman and Carlos Lee. Kearns plays for a terrible Nationals team in which with the exceptions of Zimmerman and Lopez, no one else really pops out at you on that team so he won't get much help.

Burke is the more attractive pick, plays for a better team, and will have more at-bats then Kearns considering he plays for a better team and will hit in the 1 or 2 spot. Plus, Burke is versatile as you mentioned he plays second base as well.
