Can't tell specifically.. But I guess It should be:

1-Noah Webster supported himself through sales of his spelling book. Over 100 million copies of the book were sold.

Guess it's just punctuation..

2- Helen went to work, but Bob went home.
3- The new drug proved to be highly effective; it has no side effects.

Hope that helped! Good Luck.

1. b. Run-on sentence. The true sentence ends at "spelling book" and the "100 million copies" is a new sentence.

2. c. Comma splice. These also could be two sentences or else the word "and" could be placed in addition to the comma.

3. c. To be more clear, it is bad verb tense agreement (proved/ has). It should be had instead.
