Mine has caught fire while I was driving and it's currently going thru insurance due to no manufactures fault found!

I have browsed a few auto forums and it seems there are a multitude of problems with the Colorado though none listed fire as one of their woes.

Manufacturers are able to get away with things like that precisely because consumers don't have resources to overcome corporate lawyers. I personally did not have a chance to see a burnt up S10 but I did see smoked - literally - fuel pumps being pulled out fuel tanks of gm vehicles.
