I know about four couples that adopted from China and one or two from other countries. People I house sit for just went to China with their daughter who adopted from there. I've been checking their website every day, and they stated there were 18 other couples with them that all were getting babies.

The reality is that the government does make it a bit easier to adopt from another country. US Adoptions require home visits etc. before you are allowed to finalize the adoption. I do not believe that is needed in the case of international adoption.

Plus, many adoptive parents are afraid that the biological parents may "change their mind". Many parents will go through the entire adoption process only to be told after the baby is born that the biological mother has changed her mind. This is heartbreaking and financially crippling. By choosing to adopt from another country, you remove that fear and almost "guarantee" that the money you spend will result in a child coming home to you.

We were blessed to adopt within the US, but we are not opposed to going outside the country if need be to adopt another child.

i doubt that they will have a problem adapting to the United states. As long as there parents are completly honest with them and answer any of there questions they might ask. Plus the babies were more than likely small when they were taking from china so they really didn't adapt that much there anyway.
