So I have 2 friends, we'll call them 'Matt' & 'Dave'. So Matt started seeing this woman about 6 months ago and she is absolutely horrible for a lot of reasons I won't bore you with here, but since they have been dating we've been seeing less and less of Matt. Well I find out from Dave that he (Dave) had fooled around with this girl behind Matt's back. Well Dave has always been there for me through many really rough things, and I owe him a lot....but i'm kinda regretting the position i've been put in. Do I let one friend keep on with a woman who cheated on him, and that all his friends are hate anyway, or do I tell something that will ruin my friendship with someone that has always been there for me? Dave really is a good guy, he just makes poor decisions when he has been drinking.

That's a hard one because, you don't want to lose your relationship with the one who has been there for you and you don't want the other one to find out later, that you knew about this girls cheating ways. Maybe if you sent an anonymous letter to the one seeing the girl who cheats, saying you know someone who this girl has been messing with behind his back. Even if he doesn't believe it at first, it will make him more aware and he might find her out for himself.

Wow. I do not envy you. I can only think of what I would do in this situation, which would be to meet with Matt, and talk with him. I would let him know that I am concerned about his relationship with this woman, and why (in a very gentle, very nonspecific, and very tactful way). I would also tell him that it seems like to me that he does not appear to be as happy in this relationship as I feel he deserves.
Then I would listen to what he says. No matter what, I would end the conversation letting him know that I support him in whatever he decides, and I will always love him and our friendship.
The length (six months) of this relationship does not look good. It would seem that he may have to go through a little bit more with this woman before it ends. The sucky part is being the one who actually cares for him, watching all of this happen. I hope everything works out for the best.

Stay out of this one. You have no way of knowing for sure if Dave is telling you the truth...even though he is your friend. Ever hear the saying "Don't kill the messenger."? It exists because quite often that's exactly what happens - Matt would be angry with you simply for bringing him the bad news. He may not even believe you simply because he already knows you don't like his gf.

Honestly tell Dave to come clean to Matt. If he doesn't I wouldn't interfere in this because you will come out the one without a friend in the end.

Tell the girl she better speak up before you do...thats a tough situation but in the long run it will work out even if people get hurt now...thats wrong...Good luck and I hope everything works out for you! And tell Dave to cut back a little bit on the drinking...try to help both of them..

tell Dave he should tell Matt,
if he doesnt talk to Dave, see how hes doing. I lost a good mate because love was blind and he chose her over a few of his mates. yuo could end up loosing both if you just tell Matt Dave cheated with his girlfriend.
Talk to both, and see how it weighs up

dont tell "matt" that it was "dave" that helped his girl cheat on him (matt) b/c thenn your consience will be cleared kinda but you wont have to feel guilty bout tellin b/c you know that neither will ever find out. Unless "matt" asks who it was then you have to tell him b/c you dont wanna lie to "matt". sry if this doesnt help :(

the man whos suppose to be so good is the horrible one here... it was his buddy girlfriend... he always did want to bang what he couldn't have ...particulary his wifes friends. thats why she quit bringing friends around... DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
