No, they're playing too inconsistently right now. One day they go and beat the number 2 team in the country, then the next day they lose to a team they should easily beat. They're also very young. If they keep their core group together, I bet they'll be a force to reckon with in 2-3 years from now. I'm betting they don't make it past the round of 32 this year.

They first have to get there, and Providence is a must win I wouldn't count yet for you guys. Quality size is the achilles heel of the Mountaineers, and the Friars have a lot of it. If Providence shows up, this will be a good game.
That being said, if West Virginia makes the dance, I would not want them in my bracket. Belein is a great coach, they can be a very tough team to play if you only play them once, and if they hit three forget it. They proved by beating UCLA they can compete with elite teams outside of the Big East.

As a follower of the Big East Conference, i believe that WVU probably won't even make the tourney barring a couple of wins in the Big East tourney. The Big East will not get 8 teams in, only 7 and those 7 will be: Pitt, Gtown, UofL, Marquette, Syracuse, Villanova and Notre Dame. Although Villanova finished tied with WVU in the Big East, Villanova has a higher RPI and more quality wins. I do believe that if WVU made it to the tourney they could make a run because of their efficient offense, good outside shooting, and 1-3-1 zone defense which is hard to solve when you have limit time to prepare...and when its tourney time you have to believe that ANYONE can win

it form of feels that each and every time I even have seen West Virginia's call everywhere they have gained. that's over the final couple years regrettably the only time I pulled for them and replaced into specific they could win they lost. so as i replaced into examining the questions I observed their call and that i think they'll win. Now i'm from Oregon (pass geese) and don't likely have a clue how WV is doing this year. so which you ought to to take my wager with a grain of salt!

If they played every game at home, they would have a chance. Otherwise, no.
