I have a 99 camry. I was coming onto the parkway today and i was going about 45-50 mph maybe 55 i dont remember my exact speed. But I was looking to see if any cars were coming so I can merge and I hit the curb. My car started shaking so I pulled over to the side of the road. After I calmed down I opened my door to see if the back tire was messed up because thats where I felt the damage after I hit the curb. Nothing was wrong and I couldn't see any rolling tires on the road. So I drove off slowly because I wasn't near my house. It was about a 4 minute drive going 40 mphs with the car shaking. When I put my foot on the brake the shaking stopped. So after I got home I looked at the back tire, its fine its not ripped, worn its just a little beat. I'm concerned about the front tire as it was totaled.
I'm a 17 year old girl, I know nothing about cars just how to drive the damn thing. How long will this take to fix? How much will it cost? Do I need to have my car towed?

You probably knocked the front end out of line. You may have bent some suspension pieces or bent the rim. Get it taken care of soon or you'll also ruin your tires. I can't give you an idea of the cost because I don't know what all is wrong. In fact, you could have bent the unibody and will need to get that straightened on a frame jig.

You hit the curb at a very high rate of speed. Your car really needs an inspection from a qualified mechanic. You can't expect that anyone would know what how much it will cost, how long it will take, etc., without a visual inspection.

It is a safety issue to continue driving your car in the condition you described. I highly recommend you take it to a trusted auto shop that will give you a free, written estimate.

Good luck.

Get it to a mechanic quickly. There are a few things it could be, and the auto shop can give you a free written estimate, but it is extremely dangerous and needs to be repaired before you end up in an accident.

More than likely you may have bent a rim....or when you hit the curb you could have broken loose one of the "cords" inside the tire....but if its shaking that much i see it being more a problem with the rim

You should line the wheel that wasn't hit, and line it up straight and check your tires for alignment but it would seem as if your tires aren't aligned properly...

Call your Dad, That's what they are for. He's probably going to have to pay to fix it any way
