I'd really like to own a shopping mall one day, but I don't know where to start. Please help

That's really nice to see you are following your dream. Most people don't know what they want. Asking questions is the first step. Good for you.
Owning a shopping mall is real estate. You must get into this field. Place your resume in all the administration office at all the malls. Then watch and learn as much as you can.
Perhaps start off with a strip mall. (if you have the cash)
Whatever you do never give up your dreams and apply yourself

Start by being filthy rich, then convince the legislators to tax some farmer out of existence. Then pave over the farmland and cut down all the trees. Next, lease out about half of the space and put "Prime Location" signs on the rest.
Sit back and collect your millions, and start all over again with another farm.

well that'd be nice to own but probally the only way you'd get to own a mall is to win the lottery a couple of times. sorry

The first thing you have to have is starting capital of around a few million dollars for down payment on the land and misc. operating expenses. If you don't have that kind of capital now, scrub the idea .
