Computer programming is more about logic than math... Ask my math-challenged husband who is one of the best programmers I know. However, you do have to be able to manage a kind of logic that goes beyond word-oriented logic; ask me -- I can do wonders with logical reasoning but am a lousy programmer.

For programming, you have to be able to do abstract logic.

Stress level depends on the workplace, but tends to be higher than other positions because programming is usually deadline oriented.

I honestly don't know if playing video games suits you to programming, but the fact that you are interested in the result might aid your enthusiasm!

Yes. You have to be good in math. As far as the stress and work hours go....my soon to be ex-husband is a programmer, and the hours he works was the main reason we're splitting up. He has his own small home based programming business (3-4 employees) and he literally works around the clock. He is successful financially, but he has no time of his own (or for me). He has become stressed, depressed and obsessed, and as a consequence, his personal life is suffering. This may not happen with you, especially if you work for someone else...but I just wanted you to know about potential pitfalls of the occupation.
