Starting with lying to them and the American people to invade Iraq, then sending our troops there WITHOUT the proper equipment including body armor and armor for vehicles. Then, using "stop loss" as a back door draft to keep soldiers in the military longer then their commitment required. And if those two things were not enough, the administrations refusal to properly fund the VA system has left our wounded soldiers living like rats in rooms not fit for an ANY humans, let alone people who almost got killed defending our country. As a veteran of the US Army, Bush's treatment of our soldiers OUTRAGES me, and i think that it is inexcusable. He is the Commander in Chief, and therefor responsible for EVERY ASPECT of our military. I think he needs to resign, and should be sentenced to live in a rat infested room at Walter Reed for a few years.

Hey nowyoukno.

It was not Clinton that cut the military budget in the 90's. It was the GOP controlled congress, lead by Newt gingrich. The cuts were made because Newt and company though that since the cold war was over, the traditional military should be cut in favor of high tech weapons systems.

There are a million and one reasons why Bush should just resign period!

But he is too egotistical and arrogant to do so.

Just get rid of the Bum by whatever means it takes!

If you are a veteran of the service, Army you say, you yourself should know why the military was sent to Iraq. The CIC was given the intel of the situation at the time of the pre-emtive. He was not at the location to make an assessment of the situation. That was the job of our government's intel sections. In my recon unit, it was critical to provide the most accurate info available to the brass so that no error would be made. Even if it meant that the recon took more than the average time frame. Everybody is blaming Bush for the problems being experienced by the military when the blame should be thrown to the previous administrations for their lack and reduction of funds to maintain our military. Maybe it was fortunate for us to really see how bad we are now with this conflict so that we can make the necessary corrections and the training needed to maintain our readiness. You should know that the responsibility of caring for our veterans is the upper echelon of the Army, and the subordinate brass all the way down to the 2nd looie. If you want to blame the president for all of the ills that befall the military, then lets get rid of the generals, colonels, captains and lieutenants and hand their pay to the enlisted. Then make the president the ruler of the nation, then rightfully blame him for the ills.

The American public should be outraged. Finally, people are taking notice. This administration has lied, cheated, and robbed the Americanpeople. We have been made to look foolish in the eyes of the rest of the world.
Bush and Cheney should resign. But that's not going to happen because too much money is being made on the war. Then there's the issue of the billions of dollars that was dropped off, on pallets, in Iraq. I don't get it. How can so many Americans stand by and watch this and then call those of us who are outraged, unAmerican? They should be ashamed!

If you were in a high position....say the President of a company that has many thousands of employees, and a few of them screwed up, should you be held personally responsible? No, you shouldnt, because theres no way you can know what everyone of those people are doing at any given time because you are extremely busy trying to maintain company growth and success.

Unless of course you are just another total idiot that thinks GWB should be blamed for everything.

Any PREZ comes into elected office with career service people in place for many years prior to his arrival in D.C. Why blame any president when career people fail to do their jobs. Does not a military GENERAL know what his responsibilities are and then should be doing them? Don't blame the President for career people who do their jobs in a crappy way. They obviously have become so disinterested in service YET more interested in the salary. I'm sure that a bunch could be booted out.

And as a plumber once told me.... "s-h-i-t don't flow uphill."

No, he shouldn't.
Bill Clinton cut funding to the military when he was in office. The problems at Walter Reed have apparently been ongoing and probably started BEFORE Bush.
One also needs to look at Congress and the appropriations of funding that they apply. So many of them have their own agenda and they really don't care about our military. They just want your vote.
George Bush should not bear all the blame for the way the service people are treated. These problems have many who are to blame.

The future is ours, that includes you, ours, yours. Be careful who you suggest for office if you are not old enough to vote yet.

Bush and Cheney should resign. Not just for their treatment of the troops either.

No, because then Chaney would become President and we'll only be going from bad to worse (in my opinion).
