Definitly! The 18 year old needs to get emmancipated, and break away from the abusive parent. Anything is better than just building up more and more emotional trauma as the days go on living in that house.

The 18 year old can't be forced to do anything. The father should be with his children and not force them to go back to an abusive home.

An 18 year old is an adult and cannot be forced to live with their parent(s). If they are staying at home it is due to financial considerations, guilt, or genuine interest in remaining with family.

An 18 year old can live wherever they want. Parents can't make them stay where they don't want to. Nobody deserves to be abused.

No at 18 they are old enough to move out. Check with law in your state to make sure that they can't charge you with anything for keeping the child in your home. Somewhere like children and youth services in your area.

At 18 the person in question can do as they wish. There isn't jack squat the family can do to bring that young adult back into their home.
