Bleach won´t make your clothes white , it only makes them grey and yellowish, I use the good old fashioned soap bar to brighten up my whites . You can by this in most hardware stores and super markets stock it . Just wet your clothing with cold water rub the soap on leave free from water for 1 hr , this lets the soap do it´s work then into the water again give a rub add some more soap and straight to the machine on a normal wash. If you can hang them out in the sun as the sun bleaches your whites the natural way

Wash with only whites. If there is the slightest stain, use a stain stick or spray.
Finally, yeah you can use diluted bleach, its fine, also use some OxyClean, I swear by this stuff. Just a scoop per load will work.

if you use too strong a bleach solution every time you wash them, it will burn the clothes. with time you will not be able to get then white anymore. a more gentle and effective way is to add oxy clean with each load. i swear by it too. i have well water with iron and sulfur and it works for me.

BLUING IS A WHITENING AND BRIGHTENING AGENT THAT HAS BEEN AROUND FOREVER. AVAILABLE IN LIQUID FORM, BLUING CONTAINS BLUE PIGMENT WHICH ACTUALLY COUNTERACTS THE YELLOWING THAT OCCURS IN SOME FABRICS. LOOK FOR IT IN THE LAUNDRY AISLE AT THE GROCERY STORE. ALWAYS DILUTE WITH WATER. THIS PRODUCT WILL EVEN REMOVE THE YELLOW FROM GRAY HAIR!
