Signing Ahman Green solidifies their backfield for at least for the next two years. Which will make them better. A better run game makes for a better passing game. Yes Texas O-line isn't very good but neither was Green Bays And green still ran for over a thousand yard last season and he only played in I think 10 games. Another thing to remember is the Texans while only winning 6 game had wins over a good jaguars team and the Superbowl champ colts. I think they will be allot more competitive this year. Maybe even playoffs. 9 and 7 wild card.

Ahman is a good RB but they way over paid. He's got asthma so he leaves the game a lot, he did last year. He's past his prime and he's
fumble prone, especially in the first few weeks of the season. The texans will probably get one good year out of him. He'll get injured the next year. Cut the next. Not worth the money. He's a 3 million/yr guy maximum. Sherman will kill the Texans salary cap like he did Green Bays.

Even though the signed Green. The Texans still have lots of holes to fill they still need help on the O-line, they need someone to play alongside Andre Johnson, a corner that can play opposite of Dunta Robinson, a free safety because Glenn Earl and C.C Brown can't play together, a good pass rush, and last but not least they need to figure out what ther are going to do with David Carr.

I think the combination of Domenick Davis and Ahmed Green is nice, but people are right, it's the o-line that need the most help. It also would help if they were able to sign Jake Plummer, rumors are that he wants to play for his former o-coordinator now Texans head coach, Gary Kubiak.

A running back is the last thing the Texans need. That position is probably the best that they have. They need a QB, O-Line, WR, TE, D-Line, 2 more good LBs, and everybody besides Robinson in the Secondary. Insert K,P in there too.

I think the same of them as I did when they had a healthy Domanick Davis. They have many many more important needs. O-line for starters. Franchise QB after they passed on Young. Passing on Bush was smart, but not if you pick Williams over him. We need to see how they handle the rest of FA and the draft to start making any real assessments. If I had to make a prediction right now, I'd give them 6 wins next year.

I think they are still losers. You could have the 4 all-time best RB's ever and they would suck behind the Texan's Offensive Line.they may get a little better if Kubiak can teach them to cheat as good as Denver's Offensive Line.

If the O-Line doesn't get it together, it doesn't matter. David Carr won't have time to throw the ball and Ahman (it's Ahman, darling, not Ahmed) Green won't have the holes to run through. So, like I said, it all stops and starts at the O-Line, and if they don't spend any money on that, they'll still suck.

Cheers!

So the Cardinals went and got the "Edge" last year and look how that worked out for the teams involved(Colts won the Superbowl, not saying he was holding them back either, and the Cardinals stayed nowhere). It doesn't matter how good of a RB you appear to have. Espically when your QB isn't that great and your O-Line is non-existent.

They are stil not near the best team in Texas, let alone in the league...

Even the Longhorns and Aggies are better than the Texans...
