Dutch, that is like trying to pick your favorite child. How can you really? I love Frank Langella's Dracula. Howling is terrific. There was nothing like it when it came out. But there are so many more. I love the creature features; the bad ones especially. Giant bugs with strings attached to make them move. Movies with boom mikes in the scene, even boom mike operators in the scenes. Troma movies because they are sometimes very poorly made. The SUBSPECIES series is great. Hoaky and great. The EVIL DEAD movies. HOSTEL and LIVE FEED because they are creepy and could really happen. THE TINGLER, DR. PHIBES; love vincent price. He creeped me out when I was a little horror freak. THE ITEM---really strange monster in that one...sort of looks like a ...a....part of a male human body. NIGHTBREED shows the 'monsters' aren't always the bad guys. JEEPERS CREEPERS, where you want the monster to kill those two people; they are too dumb to live. HOUSE OF A 1000 CORPSES and DEVIL'S REJECTS--great characters, sick and dememted, but ....great. (love Ottis)
THE BREED is a great vampire movie, but not classic. MODERN VAMPIRES is silly but good. FORSAKEN is another modern vamp movie. Any horror movie starring karen black is worth trying. She has made a few great ones. CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT is good. MIRROR MIRROR too. But she has a way with horror. Great eyes, sexy voice, hot actress. A lot of movies with, of all people, Ron Jeremy, are pretty good. HELL'S HIGHWAY is good. THE WICKEDS too. THE UNDEAD from australia is good. Full Moon Productions puts out some pretty good horror too. Not all of it is good, but take a chance on some of those. It is worth your time. Rat movies are cool just because they can't really do them right. So you get giant rubber rats, anime rats, guys in giant rat suits (my personal favorites). I have hundreds of movies, and could not pick just three. They are all so amazingly magical. You lose yourself for an hour and a half or so....and you laugh, shudder, hide your eyes, break your heart, or heckle the movie.
I like your choices. They are terrific movies. very good taste.

Tough question. It's hard to narrow it down to 3. Mine would be:
Halloween
The Omen
28 Days
Honorable mention to : Nightmare on Elm Street, Aliens, Thirteen ghosts (I know it wasn't that good, but I liked it), The Exorcist, and Silence of the Lambs (I know it's not really a horror movie). Also, I love the old black and white movies like Dracula, The Wolf Man, Frankenstein, and Creature from the Black Lagoon, and Them about the giant radioactive ants.

I love scary movies.. I would have to say that my all time favorite scary movie is The Exorcist. that movie just freaks me out every time I watch it. I get the chills everytime I watch it. Rose Red and The Exorcism of Emily Rose come in second and third. Anything by Stephen King is good too.

Silence of the Lambs is a close 2nd....
besides that, hmm....
the Saw movies were good
and the scary movies that aren't just monsters jumping out at you....they have to be potentially real and not just good makeup adn costumes...
