I want to get the game Animal Crossings for my ds lite, but I want to be able to play with other people, can I play it over the internet? How does the browser work, is it only to look at webpages or can i then play games online?

You don't need the browser to play online. You should be able to access the online gameplay through the menus.

The Browser is only to look at webpages.

In order to play Animal Crossing online you need to have a broadband internet connection and a wireless router. If you do not have a wireless router you can buy an official Nintendo DS wireless USB connector for either your PC or your wired router from all major game retailers. Your DS is wireless ready. This is all you need to play over the Nintendo Wi -Fi connection. There is no subscription charge.

You do not need the DS lite Opera web browser to play any of the DS games online. This is simply if you want to surf the web on your DS.

When you have your copy of the game and all the above simply follow the connection set up screens when you choose Nintendo Wi-Fi multiplayer option in the Animal Crossing start menu.

Also Nintendo have several Wireless hotspots dotted throughout the country where you can use a free wireless internet connection to play games such as Animal Crossing over the interent for free. For your nearest hotspot visit www.nintendowifi.com and tap in your postcode.

Happy Playing

You need a NIntendo Wi-Fi connection to play Wi-Fi games, such as Animal Crossing and Mario Kart DS.

The DS Internet Browser gets on the internet, but you need a Wi-Fi connection for that too.

No you are able to no longer. the reason at the back of that's that the enlargement Pak, given with the DS Lite version of the Nintendo DS Browser won't in wonderful condition into the unique DS' GBA Slot. this is too small. you ought to purchase the version for the unique DS with the intention to browse on it. i could seek on Ebay for a sturdy deal on the browser. If no longer, examine out your community activity save or order on line on prevalent web content alongside with Amazon. they often have small mark downs on products.

Animal crossing has friend codes you give people, you must have each friend code entered on each ds to connect. The opera browser for the DS is a slow, cumbersome browser that has limited capabilities, only for browsing. More info on how to connect to other people in animal crossing, the link is at the bottom, or here:

You don't need the browser for that. Nintendo Wi-Fi connection is built in to any game which displays the logo.
