I've gained 30 pounds in the last 5 months. In that time I have had only a few days of "periods" few and far between. I feel nausea off and on. I had my tubes tied, so really don't think I'm pregnant, but something has to be wrong. Why am I gaining weight for no reason?? I exercise regularly, eat good, and have NEVER had a weight problem in my life.

If you were 5 months pregnant you would know it! I am 9 months and can speak from experience that by 5 months you would definately be able to feel the baby move!

Also: it is possible to bleed or spot the first month you miss your period but by the 5th month you definatley would lose all signs of your period.

I don't know how old you are but its possible your metabolism is starting to slow down. If you used to practice unhealthy habits like little exercise and poor eating even tho you never gained weight from it and are healthy now, it is still possible that past years of bad habits are catching up with you.

More so, even if you were pregnant you wouldnt have gained 30 pounds already if you are exercising and eating well. Some women gain 30lbs over the entire pregnancy and noticble weight gain doesnt begin until about the 6th month (sometimes even longer if you really keep in shape!).

Regardless, I would check with your doctor if its something that is worrying you. There may be something miraculous like twins or triplets growing inside you lol - or you may be having an allergic reaction to something thats causing bloating.
