my roommate treats me sometimes like i am his girlfriend and when he drinks he ges really friendly. but nothing sexual has happen yet. i am gay. and he says he is stragiht and when we go out on the street he is always checking out girls.

I guess my answer is totally different from the others; I think your roommate is straight and really looking for girls. If you are gay, you know when someone is coming on to you or not., you can just tell even by eye contact. I think he really likes you as a great friend and evidently he is not homophobic or he wouldn't be living with a gay man and having his friends think he is probably gay too. Maybe he just really trusts and likes you. I think if he had any intentions, there would be more going on. He would be walking in on you while you were in the shower or showing hisself to you when he changes or just relaxing around your house. If the only incidents have happened when he was drinking, i can understand that. When i drink a little too much everybody is my best friend and I love em all, gay, straight or bi, just give me some love, ya know? When I drink too much, I would snuggle a dog or anybody that happened to be handy. I think if he does have feelings for you, sexually, you would know it. If anything does happen between you and him in the future, don't press him into thinking he must be gay, he will run as fast as he can. He has to come to this decision on his own. If he is bi and wants men and women, (he has all the tendacies), he will probably want to keep it a secret between whoever he is with. He has to come to terms with hisself, and you wouldn't want to influence him. He will make a move on his own, without drinking, if he wants to take it a step farther. give him time, he is obviously fine with you being gay, and he may be curious himself, but not sure. Don't push him, or he'll run, just be his friend and see where it goes. Just be careful of anything happening when he is really drunk, strait boys tend to use that as an excuse to experiment, then forget or blame you for letting it happen, not that it is your fault. If he makes a pass when he is drunk, tell him yes, but that you want to do it sober. Unless of course your just interested in a one nighter. But those never turn out well with a roommate

Sweetheart no straight man or woman is sleeping in the same bed of someone that is open about being homosexual. Nor can I see them being roommates with someone who is gay. He's using the liquor as an excuse it'll happen but don't let sex mess up your friendship especially if he isn't sure what he wants this could be messy.

The fact that this room mate of your treats you like his girl freind is because he knows that you are gay, if he did that knowing that you are straight coupled by his behaviour of checking our girls at the streets, then you would conclude by calling him a bi sexual.However, i can give you a trick that works, try to tease him one, soak your self nude and walk about, or lay on your bed nude and pretend ur are in deep slumber before he returns then see what will happen, this will give you a conclusion.
But what i know of bi sexuals, they don't show real affection on one of the opposite sex( either male or famale) and they pretend alot.

A guy like your roommate is called a "prick tease". Definition: a nice straight guy who enjoys the attention he gets from a gay man who finds him attractive.
So he plays up for it. Teases you a little. Gives a little taste now and then, but "not so much as to scare the horses," if you catch my drift.
Enjoy the relationship, but don't expect much more than what you have now - and most importantly, protect yourself and your heart. "Prick teases" can also be "heart breakers."
