A situation arose while playing a word game that caught my young nieces attention. I had the word 'Humping' and she said, "Gross!"
I tried to explain to her that humping is not always considered in the form of a sexual manner, but when we looked in the dictionary we could not locate the meaning, therefore she has no other way to think of it. Maybe humping is just a slang term. Please help me out!!!

Dictionary.com defines humping as arching, or to bend or round in a hump. It also says that the slang forms of it could mean sexual intercourse, to exert oneself, or to carry (especially on the back).

In the UK, humping is also a word for carrying a heavy load (over your back).
