If you haven't filled out any of the information on the contract or used the materials, then you should be able to get out of it. If you aren't contracted, then you haven't committed yet. If you did sign the contract however, you have made the choice and should pay the fee. The Avon fee is super cheap so luckily any financial loss will be very minimal.

In my oppinion, if you've already signed then you really have nothing to lose to just give it a shot. You'll have to pay the $10 fee anyway ($20 in Canada)..so you may as well continue on as a rep...just tell your upline that you don't have time to commit right now but when more time opens up, you'll try it out.

You could even tell her that you're going to just buy for yourself for now. Some reps sign to do just that. With Avon you can do as much OR as little as you wish...so don't feel overburdened. The time may not be right THIS week...but give it a month or two and you may have met 2 of the best customers that an Avon rep can ask for. It's SO easy to sell Avon...just bring it up in conversations.

I hope it works out for you.

I encountered the same problem, much later after signing up. I was a mark. representative, but switched over to Avon after. It IS very time consuming. The best idea would simply be to call her before Wednesday and let her know that it seems that there is no way you'll be able to be a representative, and that you are very sorry for the problems that causes.
You MAY encounter the fee, but I'm not entirely sure there.
