Regarding the 3/4 episode of BSG, what is going on with Starbuck.. that was her last episode filmed of season 3, her name is no longer on the credits? Is she officially dead?

I think that Starbuck is either still a live, or one of the final five cylons who will download. We've been hearing since season one that she has a destiny--to lead her people to Earth....Kinda hard to do when she's a corpse, right?

First, she's obviously a Cylon (as are Baltar and Adama). Second, if this new series is following some form of the original (and it's pitiful second [1980] season), then Starbuck gets shot down and left behind.
If you remember, the original Starbuck was the father of Dr. Zee. If you don't remember, then go look it up.

I don't think so. I believe she will reappear and tell the crew that the hole she flew into is the gateway to earth. She has carried that symbol and preminition with her all her life and this episode let all of that come to a head.

I think she is a Cylon. No Doubt she will return, Wasn't that Oracle she went to see the same Cylon that was in that Goo ? How else would she know everything that was done to her on New Caprica.
