mM is a thousandth of a M. M is mol dm-3 or number of moles in a litre.

1 mole = 6 X 10^23 molecules and also the amount of a substance when the mass in grams = the relative molecular mass of the substance.

perhaps someone should tell you that millimolar means 1 thousandth of a mole i.e. 25 mM = 25 x 10^-3 M
