You need to give her the date of your last menstral period and also tell her that you had light pink spotting that only last a couple hours (that is what implantation spotting is) on whatever date it happened.

You add 7 days to the first day of your last period. Then subtract 3 months. So for example if the first day of your last period was Jan 14th your baby is due october 14th. Implantion bleeding doesnt have anything to do with the due date. Ive also seen a show where a obgyn was 97% right of the sex of the baby by adding the age of the mother when she got pregnant and the month she got pregnant say she was 20 and got pregnant in jan the first month 20+1=21 which is a odd number he says hes a boy. If the number is even its suppose to be a girl. Everybody I know and tried this on it work! One lady it didnt work with but, she got pregnant around her birthday and wasnt sure about her age. Just one of those funny things I thought I'd mention for fun.

what can i say...my last proper period was may 3rd, i had a one day bleed on june 11th and earliest i could have concieved was was june 16th (i was away and then hubby before hand)
Due to this i was given several due dates from various scans and estimates using above dates. I thought i was due march 18th as i believe i concieved around june 16th and not earlier, gp said i was due 7th feb, first scan said march 20th, then another said 18th. I moved from london and had scan at new hospital and they said march 11th!
They are now going with march 11th (4 days to go hurrah lol) so i know how u feel about being confused over dates, however u know yours was an implantation bleed and so should go from your last period, your 12 week scan will give you a more clear date. congratulations and good luck hun

When you go for your booking in appointment at hospital to have your dating scan, usually around 12 weeks they will give you an exact due date. From your scan they can tell exactly how far gone you are, usually if you have any concerns or questions they put your mind at rest. Iv'e got 2 kids and I used my mentsrual date first then found out that was slightly wrong, to be totally sure wait for your scan. Hope this helps !!

Because you are actually pregnant for 40 weeks or 10 months they do it from the last period, but it is hardly ever wrong. After you r first ultra sound they will give you a better due date. Isn't it exciting?

I've had this problem as well with both of my pregnancies. I ovulate not in a regular cycle. Go by the first date of your last period. Then after an ultra sound they will give you a better due date. My first by period was due July 4th, ultra-sound moved her to the 22nd of July. This one by period is said to be due by 21st of March, 1st ultra sound(done at 9wks) moved her to the 27th. Last ultra sound(done at 32wks) moved it to the 28th, so there can be some discrepencies of period time and baby time.

Pregnancy is 40 weeks from the date of your last period. If you go for a scan they might change your date, but they don't really care when you conceived.

No tell them when the first day of your last period... not implantation... if you go by this date then they will say that you are 2 weeks behind of what you really are!... so tell them your period day not your implantation day!!

the midwife will give you a date based on your lst period, but then you get a dating scan around 12-15weeks, and they tell you when you are due based on size and development of the baby ,
the doctors will go by THEIR date no matter what you tell them ,
