Is it just 2 different words that mean the same thing or are they actually different?

A flapjack is long or should i say oblong shape, and made out of oats, syrup, etc
pancakes are round shape actually but not made out of oats one is sweet and the other has syrup added to it.

There really isn't a difference between a flapjack and a pancake they are the same. A diffrence would be a Crepe.

They are the same, except i believe flapjack is the term in the southern US and Pancake is the term in the North. Hotcakes are the term more in the east.

As far as I know flapjacks are made of oats, Pancakes contain wheat ( which I'm allergic to)
But maybe that's only in the UK ?

A flapjack is only eaten when you are camping, or out in the wild frontier on a cattle drive. A pancake is eaten at dennys, ihop, or when you make them at home.
