i moved out of my apartment in ca. on 2-11-07 the place was in perfect condition (i lived there for 3 monthes lanlord was going to gut it and renovate and i was supposed to move to a newly renovated one but he took to long) how long till i give him a call to ask for the deposit, for the 21 days he has to return it which he already said he would and it was in my 30 day notice does that include weekends or do i not count the weekends. How long till i can give him a call to ask for it i had to pay him 2 security deposits.

I GAVE HIM THE ADDRESS ON THE WALK THROUGH FORM WE BOTH SIGNED IT AND HE WROTE "UNIT IS ACCEPTABLE "

Don't freak out just yet and scream sue,
He is entitled to a 30 day grace period in which time he will usually use.
1. Do you have receipts for the Deposits.
2. do you have any document stating what you said he said.

See you have a little time too and get these items in line.
It is OK for you to call him and just ask nicely when were you planning on mailing the deposits. Be nice and that will go a long way. Now if all of a sudden he starts back peddling then you need to confront him and ask him in writing to provide you with the reasons he is delaying the return of the deposit

In Georgia it is 30 days total. If he gave u a 30 day notice or you gave him one and the apt was in perfect condition then it is 30 days.

Did you give him an address to send it to? I would give him a couple of more days.
