Red Lobster is more popular but I prefer Joe's Crabshack for the entertainment. It is more fun and the atmosphere is different. When I want a change I go to Joe's.
Even though I like to switch, nothing beats the bread at Red Lobster.

Gotta Go Eat At Joe's!
The food is better and there is a better selection, they have a great alcohol drink selection, the service is great, there is a more exciting atmosphere, the entertainment is great, I could keep going.
Overall, Red Lobster is nice and all, but it is a boring chain. They have nothing great to offer. It's like Olive Garden, you know the food is good, but you're not getting anything special.

Joe's Crab Shack, simply because I've had terrible service and marginal food at Red Lobster too many times. The food at Joe's has always been good and they make a point to hire very enthusiastic, personable wait staff.

Joes just has the Joes thing going on. The decor is really cool and the shark with the leg hanging out is always the talk of the table......... It is cheaper the Reds and our Joes has a out door play land that the kids can play at while the adults can have a great meal. Thats the bomb...

If you must, Eat at Joe's. A friend of mine in the industry told me that RL is the country's largest purchaser of second-hand seafood- items determined to be too old for good restaurants but not yet past the legal shelf life. That alone isreason enough not to eat there again
