I have no idea how to get employers to take my applications seriously. I want to relocate to Tampa, FL from Milwaukee, WI to be closer to family. I don't want to move until I have a job in Tampa. I am not specilized as in computers, medical, etc... but I do have experience in project management and training. Is there a service out there that helps professionals find jobs remotely beyond the Monster.coms and Careerbuilder.coms? Anyone with any suggestions will be welcomed. I would like to move from Wisconsin as soon as possible :)

1. Survey the land.then relocate. Meaning, go down there for vacation and check it out. While you are there, check out companies in your field and ask to speak to a manager or the Personnel director.

Tampa is a very hot market (more people are moving there than leaving), so companies do not have to pay for things like relocation or other packages.

Companies get hundreds of resumes without regard to qualifications. Knowing somebody can get you doors opened faster than anything.

3. I had a friend that relocated to Tampa. It only took her about 2 weeks to find a job. It was easier for her to find a job after she had moved there than it was for me to find one looking from out of state.
