Yeah you get offended by what those bitches said when you really shouldn't even care. Now everyone has heard of them. They're making a lot of money when you buy all their cd's just to burn them. LOL! You conservatives are funny! It's called freedom of speech.

Hey right wing, when I bash the right it's because that side makes it so easy. Trust me I like to bash the left too.

I have to disagree with your premise. Let's not give conservatives too much credit, now. The Dixie Chicks were already huge when they said those things about the President and suffered through the backlash. They were already making lots of money! So really the conservatives didn't have much of an effect at all.

You're right - the Dixie Chicks are well known and rich because they made anti-Bush statements, not because of their musical ability.

This is not limited to the Dixie Chicks - the major groups of today are about as talented as the garage bands of the 1970s - - if Toad the Wet Sprocket wants to resuscitate their careers, all they have to do is assemble a crowd and say "Bush sucks" into the microphone and they'll get another record contract.

but, it was still done in poor taste. during a fragile time on our history and then you go talking a bunch of crap that you have absolutely no clue about. they didn't try that garbage over here, did they? no, of course not. i honestly do not care. it was done in poor taste and i definitely do not agree with them, but, whatever. and they were waaaaay more popular before the comments than they are now. they destroyed their career for what they did. trust me. i live in ex-Dixie Chick country.
