when they find out I am vegetarian? Then try to convert me to eating meat, telling me silly things like we "need" meat, or are "designed" to eat meat?

In any event you aren't a vegetarian since you eat murdered fish!!!!

becuase people are so brainwashed. It's society's fault. They tell us that we need to beleive in god, we need to eat meat, we need to look and act this way. Don't blame the stupid people, blame society and the people that relize what's going on and do nothing to put a rift in the system. Don't worry about what other people say, it doesnt matter, do what makes you happy and if other people have a problem with the way you live your life, then well they obviously need some work themselves, right on brother. More power to you. We are not designed to do anything, but that certaintly is the impression that society gives us, live by your own rules.

I don't know. It may not be you but some vegetarians tend to lecture people that eat meat.

know the feeling.
Basically i found people telling me to pick out the meat in the pizza they just bought for us, but they dont realise.
I figure its ignorance. I explain why i dont eat it, and basically they still dont understand, because none have them has ever given up a food ( unless like allergies but thats rare adn those poeple do understand).

I only will do that if I am asked how I can not be a vegetarian. If you don't harass me about eating meat, I won't harass you about eating plants only.

I've had this problem for more than fifteen years. For some folks, when I say, "I'm a vegetarian," I think what they're really hearing is, "I kill children." At least that's what I gather from their facial expressions.

Because they don't know how to deal with it
I have a similar problem because I have food allergies - they can't believe you can survive without ( whatever )
