I took a clear blue pregnancy test this morning and as i was waiting for the result the phone went. I forgot about it and remb an hour later. the result looks like it is positive,.. in the left hand box if you are preg there is a cross and for negative its just one line........
I have a cross, however the line from left to right if quite thick and clear and the one from top to bottom in much thinner and not as clear....could this be a faulse result because i waited 2 long to check??
I know u r probably going to say "just take another test" but i cant get out for a couple of days to get one and i really want to know what you think?
Have u ever taken one and had this result when its been left for a while...

Congrats my dear looks like your pregnant these tests never give a false positive. I have four children and clear blue was used each time for testing and the only time it is ever wrong is if you test to early and not enough pregnancy hormones present whereby it would give a negative but never a false positive. I kept my pregnancy test from my last baby its now two years old(I know your supposed to throw them away) and guess what even after two years it is still positive a little faint but it never changed.

Sounds like a posotive to me. The positive line will usually be lighter depending on the amount of hormones in your urine. Also, reading can stay correct up to several hours after results have been recorded. An hour wasn't too long. If anything, it would make the positive line disappear, not appear.
I would just relax though until you can get another test. But I have a feeling that congrats are in order!

I'm pretty sure you are pregnant.
The same thing happened to me 12 years ago. I did the test waited two minutes and the test screen was blank. A bit disappointed i put it in the bin in my bedroom and went downstairs for a coffee.
I phoned my friend told her "no baby this month" and had a chat .
I then went upstairs to finish tidying up and happened to glance in the bin and lo and behold a faint blue line in the box.
My negative test is now a bouncing 11 year old!!!

It sounds like an evaporation line. Pregnancy tests are not accurate if read after the elapsed time. You can't trust the result one way or the other.
There IS such a thing as a false positive if you don't read the test in the time, and if the line is in the wrong place, that strongly suggests an evaporation line.

Hi, I did a digital one at Christmas and the result was meant to stay for 24 hours but if this one isn't digital, then that won't apply. Don't want to get your hopes up but I read that you can only get false negative results, not a false positive and from what I remember from doing another clearblue one at Christmas, you don't get the cross if it is negative.

i think to be on the safe side you should treat yourself as if you are pregnant (no drinking, smoking etc) but take another one when you are able to get out and buy one as they have the guidelines on the boxes for a reason... the result CAN change and they were fed up of being sued over wrong results so they put the warning on! this doesn't mean you are not pregnant and I really hope you are but dont take that result as gospel JUST yet!

Its hard to say, yes, you'll have to take another test.
In my experience though, I took my test early, It came out positive but I second guessed it because the line was so faint.
So I went to my doctor and it turned out to be positive.
I used a generic store brand pregnancy test though, not a clear blue. I wish you luck :)

Hello honey..Your pregnant !! congratulations..i was on here a few days ago asking the same question funny enough as i had a faint positive line, i decided to wait a few days and take another test and it sure was positive...you must have HCG in your urine for any sort of positive result...so book an appointment with your midwife...Good luck...

Same thing happened to me! I took the test, and the second line was really faint... I waited a day or two, took another, the line appeared, but was still really faint, so I gave up and bought one that said pregnant or not pregnant, and it said pregnant. So I would definitely say you are. Congrats....

i have taken this test and iw asnt preagant i left for 2 hours as i forgot and it came up no so it does look like ur prenagnt but do take another test in few days but swich off ur phones ok
