A cursory glance at history might suggest that ‘white’ societies have been instrumental in creating ‘civilisation’, but is this true and, even if so, has being ‘white’ got anything to do with it?

I would suggest that the assumption that that ‘white’ societies have been instrumental in creating ‘civilisation’ is false and that any apparent connection between ‘white’ and ‘civilisation’ is a non-sequetor.

Firstly, pale skin colour is an evolutionary adaptation to colder, less sunny climates where the risk of skin cancer is outweighed by the need to produce vitamin D from limited skin exposure to the sun. I would suggest that it is the migration to cooler climates which facilitated the development of settled communities, as opposed to a nomadic lifestyle, that lead to civilization developing. It is hard to be creative when your every waking moment is occupied in the search for food or water as can be the case in Africa.

Secondly, ‘civilized’ societies have developed independently in many places during history – the Aztecs, Incas and Mayan cultures of Southern America; Ancient Egypt; China; India; not forgetting Mesopotamia. The majority of these societies would not be described as ‘white’.

I take the lesson from Martin Luther King,to 'Judge on the content of a person's character, not the color of his skin.'

The colour itself can't represent the "greatness" of your white being, your DNA is important, a tall, blonde, blue-eyed human have some potentials to be the best kind of human, but of course without a good culture and a logical thoughts! they can also be some cruel beasts like Nazi Germans.

Today, unfortunately non-white ppl are outbreeding whites, and 1000 years later, Europe will looks like Pakistan or India; America too. Say this fact to them and then will call you racist without remembering what happened to Persia, Rome, and other in-a-blink-destroyed great countries.

To Nick C: Buddy read some history books about Persians and then change your sentences.

Our inventions, technological innovations, forms of government all from Europe.
The ancient Greeks were European and founded the first civilisation in the area.
The Romans were European and built the most impressive empire of the ancient world
The French and British philosophes were white Europeans
The greatest scientists of the last 500 years were white Europeans
The greatest leaders were white Europeans: Napoleon, Caesar, Churchill
Color isn't really that important, it's the location and advancement of your society that matters. The stronger and more advanced European civilisations conquered other civilisations like the Mayans and Aztecs.

Many of the ancient civilisations you mentioned have legends of white skinned-blue eyed 'gods' who brought culture & civilisation to them and taught them how to live.

quetzalcoatl is a good example of this.
