Are you up for all the noise a wheel being run on can make? These little guys are awake at night and sleep all day. You will need a cage of choice, wheel (silent type, it helps), water bottle, food, food bowl, treats, toys, and litter (aspen, Critter Fresh or Care Fresh). Never use pine or cedar they are harmful to the lungs. Plus it will need lots of your attention and patience. My daughters have 3 hamsters and 2 mice in their room and my adult son, he is my small animal trainer and driver for rescues, has 15 cages of Syrian & Russian dwarfs, gerbils, and rats in his room. He has gotten use to all the noise and sleeps quite well now.

You can, as long as it's in a cage !
Just be aware that hamsters are nocturnal, so he may make some noise at night and keep you up. In the wild, they run a lot at night, so he will need a wheel in the cage, and you may hear him on that all night long.
Other than that, make sure the location you want to keep the cage is away from direct sunlight from a window, or drafts (up off the floor), or extremes in temperature. Depending on what kind of cage you keep him in, those plastic tube cages and aquariums can heat up fast if they are in the sun or right near a heater.
Those plastic tube cages can also be a pain to keep clean...and it's possible for a hamster to chew through the plastic and escape.
Lastly, make sure the location you want to keep you hamster cage is safe from any predators in the home (cats, some dogs, etc) so that the little fella will be safe.

Do you mean like in a cage in a bedroom? Sure. But if you mean roaming around like a guinea pig, probably not. Their a lot smaller and would have a greater chance of being lost, or stepped on and killed. In a cage though, they are fine, but they do get stinky. So be prepared to clean. A LOT. And I hope you sleep well with noise because hampsters are nocturnal and those little suckers exercise at night a lot!!!!! They can be great pets though!

You can keep a hamster in your room as long as you're a heavy sleeper. Hamsters are nocturnal and they can make a lot of noise at night, also make sure your cage is secure because they jump around alot and can try to escape.

You can...but if you are a light sleeper and wake easily, then the bedroom would not be a good idea. Hamsters are nocturnal and will be up all night, especially if they have an exercise wheel, (an you really should supply one). they make plenty of noise (both the plastic ones and the metal ones.
I know this is not related but please get a wheel that is safe like the one in the link below:

Do you mean loose or in a cage? These lovely little creatures ( I've had 4 ) do like to chew and your things would be quickly ruined. They also like to get into small spaces and can be hard to find. Otherwise in a cage is fine as long as they have all the space, food, water and toys they need. One thing to note, they are nocturnal and mine made a lot of noise at night which could disturb a light sleeper. Also beware of placing their cage close to radiator, window or in draught. Good luck with yours, they are wonderful little characters!

yes you can keep your hamster in your bedroom, although if it has a wheel to run on it may disturbe your sleep at night,as hamsters like to sleep during the day and play at night

yes but first u have to buy a tiny house for ur little hamster then only put on ur table.. never let ur hamster run around ur room that will be dangerous.. coz that might cause an accident where u step on it or the hamster stuck on the door or somewhere else..

Yes you could keep it in a cage almost anywhere in the home, but a warning, they get very active at night, when you want to sleep, and the sound of the wheel constantly going around and around will drive you nuts

Sure! You can keep them anywhere as long as the temperature is around 60-70 degrees F. Just make sure to get a large enough cage for one and give it plenty of attention. Good luck!
