I have a problem with hinges on a laptop, they are so stiff thatg when you open the lid it actually lifts of a panel above the keyboard where the power button is. I have sprayed a bit of WD40 on it but no good. Any advice

I suggest no WD40 since it is a liquid first off and a flammable one at that. The hinges are suppose to loosen up with usage. You want them nice and tight to begin with.

i think there is a little screw wich you can adjust and it makes it move more freely or you cant tighten it up even tighter or looser.
