By the 8th month your sick of being pregnant, your sleepy, your excited, you want it all to be over with and soon. If you were due in August and the shower was in July youd be miserable, because of the heat. April is a beautiful month, dont allow yourself to be miserable. Your having a baby shower with friends and family that love you. Their buying your new baby items you will need, and theres usually games being played, oh yeah and lets not forget lots and lots of food! Why wouldnt you be happy? In less then a month your going to have a healthy new baby! Enjoy it.

no you shouldn't be miserable just use the attitude of those around and that will help see I had my daughter last year and my due date was may 11 and i had my shower in April and as long as you want to be happy you will see the thing is if you tend to lean toward being positive then you should do fine try playing a shower game you find enjoyable like if your throwing a shower for someone what would you want to do for them make suggestions to the person throwing yours so that you can enjoy it more

LOL No, believe it or not, it is possible to enjoy your last month of pregnancy.

You'll be fine. I ended up having showers for both of my kids about one week before they were born (actually, one of those showers was planned for the day my youngest was born). I had fun at both.

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, have a comfortable chair (sitting and opening gifts while you're eight months pregnant in a metal folding chair will not be enjoyable), keep it relatively short if you don't think you would enjoy a longer party, have some kind of drinks and snackages, and enjoy the last party you'll have in a while where you will be able to be baby-free (or sitter-free).

Oh, and feel free to let it be known that some activities will not be fun for you. If you are sensitive about your size, the toilet paper game (how many peices of toilet paper does it take to wrap all the way around your belly) probably would not be something you'd like to participate in. When I had my shower, my sisters made me a t-shirt that said "You rub my belly, I rub yours", because I hated having random people touch my belly. People got the hint in a comical kind of way.

I am in the same boat. I am due May 28th and my shower is at the end of April. Not sure when yet...... I hope I will not be too miserable. I am now, that is for sure. Ready for this pregnancy to end and have my baby here with my husband and I...

I don't see why you would be. Being pregnant is a normal function for the woman's body. You are not miserable every minute you are carrying a baby. You might have a back ache the last few weeks but that can be taken care of with an tylenol. Good Luck and God Bless

Will you be miserable at your shower? Probably not, the excitement of the games, food, and gifts will take your mind off things. You will most likely be very tired afterwards, but you should have had some fun.

Good luck and God Bless

It is hard to say. Some women can whiz through a pregnancy and not be miserable at all. Some are right from the start. Don't worry you won't be so miserable that you won't have a good time.

You shouldn't be. I worked up until five days past my due date...had my girl two days later. Don't get into the mindset of misery and don't let people convince you that you will be miserable. You will be EXCITED and EAGER to meet this awesome little person....focus on that, instead! Enjoy your day!
