If he is so for a "Chocolate City" why doesn't he come to Houston to retreive his minions?
This is not being racist, he's the one who started the crap about chocolate city.

Ernest, having been to N. O. many years prior to Katrina, the population at that time was heavily black. That being said, the least affected areas of the city (St. Charles area around Loyola comes to mind) were much more affluent and white.
I don't agree with Nagin in the least. Louisiana is a very corrupt state, with a different judicial system than every other state (thanks to the legacy of French Provincial law). They (N. O.) should have built the better levee system back in the 70s when they had the chance.
All this being said, if Nagin wants real help, he needs to relinquish the race card. That's the only way N. O. will get rebuilt.

He didn't get nearly enough grief for that racist remark!
And despite efforts to blame all of the Katrina problems on Bush , the honest truth is that Nagin & that do nothing Governor were most responsible for dropping the ball & letting the people of N.O. & La down through lack of planning, leadership , & allocation of resources.
Besides that...hey what if this is a recycled question from 18 months ago? My fellow Dems STILL continue to relive & recycle the 2000 Presidential election!!
The 2008 election is in site & instead of planning a winning strategy let's rehash how Gore couldn't carry his home state (which was a conspiracy Bush orchestrated)

Chocolate melts in your mouth not in your hands . And anyone would agree with rising sea levels that the relocation of New Orleans to Higher ground is the only reasonable action . To wit we need to begin building residences on higher ground or sell house boats to the people of New Orleans . Sit them on the lots prone to flooding and let them float when the waters rise .

Actually, it helps. Most of the businesses back up and running are restaurants. As far as Nagin going and getting his deliciously flavored friends from houston, he kind of did, or at least he went and got their absentee ballot votes...
