The Honda will cost less money and run far better than the Harley. It's a powerful smooth machine. You'll find the Harley beautiful to look at but not nearly performing as well.

Do you want to admire your bike or ride it?

If it's your first bike get the Honda. Very low maintenance and the bike your looking at is actually decent overall. Buy it used. You'll save a pile of money on a low mileage example.

If you've been riding a while get the Harley. Everyone should own one once. Be warned, there is no other brand acceptable to most Harley owners and everything except the air in the tires is expensive.

If you actually ride the Harley rather than be one of the countless posers out the doing the weekend bad boy thing that would be great too.

this bike is going to be alot heavier than even the ultra classic. if u dont already have the endorsement, trying to pass the test on this bike is going to make this bike a very big handful to keep up when doing the cone weave.
u could do a bit better tho. if u want to hit twisty roads aggressively, this bike just wont cut the mustard. u'd be better off getting a wide glide or a deuce instead. if u read the reviews of the vtx, even the reviewer thought that the weight of this bike was a bit too much.

be aware that in parking lots, a heavy bike will become very noticeable. if u dont know the technique for slow speed riding, u might think this sled is on par with a semi truck.

A liquid cooled engine is a design superior to air cooled. Honda sets the standard for reliablity.

this is going to be an fairly heavy bike for its size. if ur not familar with the slow riding technique, parking lots might give u some trouble if the bike's weight isnt well balanced.
