We recently rented an adult movie from our tv and loved it. (We never watched together before) I didn't think I'd enjoy it so much, but I do. That was a few months ago and I'm always the one who suggests it now! My husband is loving it! We lock the door and rent a movie and then it really gets us in the mood and we practice what we've watched! I think it makes it new and exciting when you don't mind if your man sees another woman or if your woman sees another man. It adds excitement instead of the same old thing. We also go to the local adult shop and buy new things to try. Lotions and toys, etc. We plan our nights together and look forward to them. It doesn't happen all the time with kids, etc. But it's always at least 2-3 times a week, no matter what. We make sure we take time for each other. We get our favorite drinks and sit and cuddle awhile on the couch. We really enjoy being together. It is the love that will keep you together. You have to love each other and enjoy being with each other. There's no pretending with true love. It's just so comforing and feels so secure. Oh.......buy some whip cream every once in awhile!!! That will keep it new! Or, chocolate syrup or whatever you like!!

It takes effort to stay committed. In a relationship there are 3 distinctly seperate entities-- the male, the female, and the couple. If proper nurturing and growth for each component isn't implemented the all 3 elements don't and can't function properly and will eventually experience the dysfunction brought about bylong-term neglect.

Why would I want it to be "new"? There's nothing wrong with being settled and comfortable. We love each other, we spend time together, we go places, we talk about our day, philosophy, religion, science, politics, etc. We can sit in the same room and each read a book and it be perfectly serene. We can also cuddle on the couch and watch a movie. I like knowing my partner is there, for always, no matter what, and he likes knowing that I am. We don't want new and uncertainty. We're quite happy with the growth our relationship has had now. Why go back to the beginning?

My parents have been for 36 years and what I learned from them is that they spend time with different friends. They always come back telling each other stories. If you have the same friends and always spend time together than things get boring.

Most likely through communication and creativity - traits some people possess and others don't.

And who says that it has to be "new?" Maybe some couples have just found a "comfort zone."
