If money makes one happy?
Why isn't Bill Gates (or Britney Spears for a better example) the happiest people on the planet, and the people living in poverty the most miserable people you'd ever meet (as far as being happy).

Well that's cause money does not make people happy. People make people happy. Britney lost the love of her life, not to mention her Ecstasy taking buddy. Bill has so much money all he can do now is just give it to people. Me I'm very happy. I live a modest life with my husband and my girls. With out them in my life I would be the most miserable person on earth. They are why I smile, why I work, why I wake up every morning. And nope we are not rich by far. But I think I am one of the riches women in the world though.

Bill Gates is hysterically happy, actually. Britney is not happy, because it's not money she craves, but fame and adoration. She's become a joke - now no amount of money can improve her life. Money in itself doesn't make one happy. But I have to say, when I'm hiking in the Alps or sailing my sailboat, I'm pretty damn happy...those things aren't free!

Dont think money is the answer if you can have everything you want you have nothing to strive for. seems folks with money if you notice alot are nto drugs and arent happy. If you can have everything you want whenever you want probably becomes boring. But being middle class folks always seem t reach for more it is human nature. My thoughts are be happy with what you have cause if you are always going for more you cant enjoy what you have now

Bill Gates is married and I am sure quite happy and Spears is a psycho liberal with money so that makes her doubly mad.

happiness comes from with-in, so I have been told.
I am not happy due to circumstances. however I do not think money could solve MY problems.
but you are right, most rich ppl are not happy.
