It was a rumor started on Perez Hilton's blog that he had been dating Lance Bass (former NSync dude that came out of the closet recently).
Brandon has been mum on the rumors, likely because by not refuting them it doubles his fan base. No denying, gay or straight, he is hot!
However, a person that knows him and his family is admant that he is NOT "I have known Brandons family most of my life, we all grew up on the same block. I know his sister very well, we have been friends for many years. I even know his parents and about his childhood. Although I am only 3 years older than he is and have a lot of people in common with him, I know or have met past girlfriends etc.....I can assure you all Brandon is NOT GAY! I can't even believe somebody would say such a thing just because he has a gay friend....who doesn't anymore!!!! Brandon is a good guy, comes from a good family and totally has it together! He has become an incredible actor and has a lot to show us still I am sure! Again, Brandon is sooooooo NOT GAY!!!"
