Yes, after your BSN you apply for these degrees.....MSN

some schools are 18 months and others an additional 24 months.
You do pay thru the nose unless you qualify for grants,
scholarships, financial aid......etc....

I am a student nurse in Chester, UK, doing a diploma. Because I was over the age of 26 when starting the three year course I was classed as a mature student and so get a bursary of £560 a month. It is alot less if you decide to do the degree course, which is the same one only with extra work more modules etc, which doesnt make sense but there you go. I hope this helps.

Nope i am a student nurse and the NHS pay for all my fees:-).
If you do the degree course you can apply for a student loan. And the Diploma course you get £6,000 a year while you study that you dont have to pay back. And diploma and degree students when qualified both come out at a grade D which is the same pay band

Not in the UK no. Diploma students get all fees paid and a monthly bursary and Degree students get all fees paid and are entitled to apply for student loans

no, I have just applied to the degree and I would get about 390 a month but with student loans as well it would work out roughly the same as a diploma. yeah you have to pay the loans back, but when you finish and get a job you will be a lot better paid than you would with a diploma

In the UK there is an NHS bursary scheme.

You'll need to meet the criteria though, explained here.
To apply go to:
