have nearly done it but in the early days of cash machines the money was issued and then you got card so forgot the card loads of times and then had to wait ages or pay for a new card.
but nderstand how u feel i'd feel so stupid i've lost money by putting in my back jeans pocket and when getting something out the money fell out.

Its hard because its not your money its your mums but as long as your mum knows it was a mistake then dont worry!
You could have been mugged for the money of something, you have to think as well as awful as it is that the money was taken by someone that went to the cashpoint it might not have been as the cash machine closes after a few seconds and takes the money back in but it will not be linked to your account!
I would go back into the bank and find out if they have £70 in the suspense account that should not be there!
ANyway I hope it works out

Not personally, But I used to work for a bank, I was the last one to leave and had just locked the main doors, when this guy approached me asking if I work there, I was a little nervous as I had one half the set of keys to the volts!!! anyway turns out he had gone to use cash point and the person before him had left the money in there! he handed it to me as it wasnt his money. Next day we were all amazed at how honest this guy was, even more so was the customer who came in the following day distressed about losing her money....when we handed it back to her and advised she be more carful in the future. There are some honest and decent people out there. You made a mistake, and unfortunatly we all do some silly things from time to time. Dont get to upset about it, it happens, Unfortuantly there is nothing you can do now, just learn from it, Lets just hope that person who took your money really had a use that benefits, ie gives to a charity or helps someone with it, then at least some good will have come out of this?

no - cant say Ive ever done that before - but i feel for ya hun. Sounds like you've just had a crap emotional stressful day and the cashpoint incident was the cherry on top.
I think you should go home as soon as possible - put the feet up - indulge in something loaded with calories and chill out for yourself. You're lucky - it was only 70 quid - it could have been so much more - just slow down a bit for yourself in future!!
xx

Stop being so hard on yourself. You are human and are prone to make mistakes. I know the thought of losing that well needed money has caused you to feel angry with yourself but just know that you did not lose it on purpose. Things like this happen. When ever I make a careless mistake I try to learn from it. I just bought an item from a store that offered a rebate of $100.00. One of the requirements were to send the label on the box along with the receipt,. Guess what silly me did? I accidently threw the box away so I was unable to get my rebate. So see, we all can do things that makes us so angry at ourselves. Learn from your mistakes and try to be more careful with how you receive money. Also, hope that the person that took the money really was in desperate need for it. Hope this thought makes you feel better.

My husband did this a few years ago, but a youth in a leather jacket and all sorts of piercings......... ( the sort you would think twice about) actually ran after him to give him his money he had forgotten to take!! That kind deed made me realise it is not a good idea to judge people on how they look. I feel so sorry for you but you will soon feel better,... although that will not bring the money back I hope you will take this lesson as a sign to try and live life a bit more calmly. Hope Mum forgave you...

No I havn't but I have lost money before. Try not to be so upset its not worth it for £70. Although it is annoying its not the end of the world. Write it off and cheer up, tomorrow will be a better day.

Not in a cashpoint, but i have left notes in those stupid self serve machines in tesco. You grab your change and forget to look down for the notes! Its horrible especially when us people dont have alot of money in the first place.
