so far tht is unanswered, but later in the Shinnpoden series he may com back only to fight naruto and then kill his brother. Seeing as tho it's the perfect fight.

He hasnt killed Itachi yet, and i'm completely up to date with the manga (chapter 344).

not yet. but eventually there should be a sasuke-itachi faceoff. i'm pretty sure one of them has to die because it's hard to image them co-existing.
